  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the hazelnut butter, grape seed oil, and water.
Add the egg, sugar, baking powder, and flour. Mix well.
  2. Form a dough ball and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 310 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius).
  4. Roll out the dough gently on a lightly floured surface using a rolling pin. Feel free to add a bit more flour if the dough is too sticky.
  5. Cut out heart-shaped cookies using a cookie cutter.
  6. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 2 : Baking

Bake the cookies on the third rack, in a preheated oven at 310 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius) with convection setting, for 20 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before moving on to step 3.

Step 3 : Chocolate Coating
  1. Melt 1.5 oz (40 g) of semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler.
  2. Dip one side of each heart-shaped cookie into the melted chocolate, gently turning it to coat both sides.
  3. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly and place the coated cookies on a wire rack.
  4. For an extra touch, decorate the cookies with small sugar hearts.

Allow the chocolate topping to solidify for at least 3 hours.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Gisou’s Tips and Tricks :

  • The chocolate will harden as it cools. In February, temperatures are usually cool enough, so refrigeration is not necessary. Just store the cookies in the coolest room of your house.
  • The 40g of chocolate should be sufficient to cover about a dozen cookies.
