Coconut-Rich Recipe

These coconut balls coated in semi-sweet chocolate are perfect for a romantic indulgence on Valentine’s Day. With just 3 ingredients, this recipe is verry simple to make! 💖
I drew inspiration from the homemade “Bounty” bars featured in the book “L’atelier de Roxane, recette en famille.”

Before starting the recipe, prepare a food container where you will place the coconut-chocolate balls. Line the bottom with parchment paper. Choose an airtight container with a lid.

Step 1 : Preparing the Coconut Balls
  1. Pour the desiccated coconut and coconut milk into a small bowl.
  2. Mix with a fork until the coconut milk is absorbed by the coconut powder.
  3. Take a small amount of the “dough” with a teaspoon and firmly knead it between your hands to form a ball.
  4. Place the balls evenly spaced on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Once all the balls are formed, seal the container with its lid and place it in the freezer for approximately 45 minutes.
Step 2 : Chocolate coating
  1. Melt 1,5 oz (45 g) of semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler, then add the remaining 1,5 oz (45 g).
    I recommend using a heat-resistant, glass-shaped container.
  2. When the chocolate is melted and smooth, remove the coconut balls from the freezer.
  3. Place a coconut ball on a fork and dip it into the melted chocolate.
  4. Take out the chocolate-covered ball and gently place it back in the box. Since the coconut ball is cold, the chocolate will quickly harden.

Once all the balls are coated with chocolate, you can taste one or two 😉 and refrigerate the rest before enjoying them with your loved one. 💖
