Healthy Recipe
A chocolate cake recipe that only requires 3 ingredients : dark chocolate, coconut milk, and rolled oats… but don’t worry, it tastes amazing! It has been approved by my daughter and husband, who are both big foodies! 😃
And the best part is, it doesn’t require any baking. I discovered this recipe by David Davidov on YouTube.
Ingredients
- 6.5 oz (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 ½ cups + 2 tbsp ~ 13 fl oz (400 ml) coconut milk
- 2 ½ cups ~7.8 oz (220 g) rolled oats
- Line a square cake pan approximately of 6.69 x 6.69 inches (17 x 17 cm) or you can also use a round pan of 7.08 inches (18 cm in diameter) with parchment paper. Lightly brush it with some vegetable oil using a brush. This will make it easier to remove the cake from the pan later.
- Chop the chocolate into pieces and put it in a saucepan.
- Add 13 fl oz (400 ml) of coconut milk.
- Heat over medium heat and stir to melt the chocolate.
- Once the chocolate has melted completely, remove from the heat.
- Add the rolled oats and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the pan.
- Let it cool at room temperature.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 5 hours.
When serving, you can decorate it with red fruits and powdered sugar.

Gisou’s Tips and Tricks
- For a sweeter flavor, you can add one to two tablespoons of sugar to the coconut milk along with the chocolate pieces.
- And if you want to keep it light, you can replace regular sugar with a sweetener. Since there is no baking involved, the sweet flavor will still be prominent.
