Easter Recipe

While reading a cookie recipe on the “Femme Actuelle” website, I felt inspired to make these little carrot-shaped Easter bunnies. 🐰

My daughter actively participated in making these adorable cookies.

Prep Time : 40 min

Bake Time : 15 min

Step 1 : The Bunny Template

Choose and print a simple bunny drawing from the “coloriage-facile-lapin-fille”  website.
Cut out the drawing and glue it onto a cardboard support. Then, carefully cut along the bunny’s outline.

Step 2 : The Dough
  1. Peel and finely grate the carrot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the egg and sugar using a fork.
  3. Add the softened butter, grated carrot, cinnamon, flour, and baking powder. Knead until you obtain a homogeneous dough. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.
Step 3 : Dough resting
  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
  2. Place it in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
Step 4 : Shaping the bunny cookies and baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough.
  3. Place the bunny template on the dough and cut around it using a plastic knife. Repeat the process to make as many bunny cookies as the dough allows.
  4. Carefully transfer the bunny cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper .
  5. Decorate them with small candies for the eyes and nose.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius), convection heat on the second level.
